Biosketch
Thomas first became interested in the immunology of the human gut during his PhD with Mark Travis. He continued this work, with a focus on mononuclear phagocytes, with William Agace in Copenhagen. Here, he developed a novel technique which enables improved analysis of Gut-Associated Lymphoid Tissues. He is continuing to research immune mechanisms of the intestine in the Buck lab.
